El Andariego - Restaurante & Bar PV: A Culinary Gem in Puerto Vallarta

The mariscadas platter at El Andariego blew our minds on Sunday evening in Downtown PuertoVallarta...as did their giant margaritas, impeccable service & absolutely breathtaking architecture!

Stopped by El Andariego for breakfast after another place did not open on Sunday and was pleasantly surprised. Being a large restaurant closer to the touristy bigger hotels I was worried about a tourist trap. But the service was friendly and I politely declined muffins and croissants presented to me and stuck with my order. I got the Patriotic Chilaquilles (chicken with red and green sauces & beans). Also got a frsh squeezed orange carrot juice and a coffee. Also doused it with the salsas and it’s ruined chilaquilles back home for sure cause it was sooo good. I’d def recommend for a clean, friendly meal.

My family dined here for breakfast with friends. We enjoyed sitting at the terrace in the morning. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We liked it and came back for dinner on our last night in Puerto Vallarta. The food and service were excellent. My son loved the whole red snapper. I didn’t get a photo of the vegetarian fajita and guacamole with table service. They were outstanding.

This place is amazing! I had the enchiladas and they were spectacular. My boyfriend had the rib eye it was slightly over cooked but it was so flavorful it made up for it! Recommend by someone at the resort and boy am I glad we came if u get a chance you should come here!

I visited El Andariego on December 13, 2024, and had a mixed experience overall. The garden omelette plate I ordered was lacking in flavor, which was disappointing. However, the fresh orange and carrot juice was absolutely amazing refreshing and full of vibrant flavor, it was the highlight of the meal. The customer service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff, and the atmosphere was equally impressive. Both the interior and exterior were beautifully designed, creating a welcoming and stylish ambiance. While the food could use some improvement, the exceptional juice, great service, and lovely atmosphere make it worth considering for a visit.

Came for a drink, stayed for the ambiance. Beautiful old restaurant in the heart of town. Several ( maybe 4) floors with interesting decor and comfortable seating. Staff were wonderful. Margaritas, Daiquiris and Pina coladas hit the spot. Their guacamole was perfect as the homemade chips. Hope to be back and enjoy more of the tasty menu

Right when we walked in, we knew we would have an elevated dining experience. Our server Hector was a delight, as he allowed me to practice my Spanish. The food was cooked to perfection. The Charrito with Shrimp was excellent. The beef was tender and flavorful and the shrimp was fresh and cooked to perfection. My wife enjoyed the Machaca Andariego tenderness of the beef. Great ambience and service. Highly recommend.

Just had dinner here on our last night in PV after randomly discovering it on our way back to our hotel and thirsting for some sangria. Since they had fantastic sangria we gave dinner a shot. The service was phenomenal (gracias Esmeralda! gracias Carlos!). The food was equally yummy - had the tableside guacamole, beef burrito and chicken fajitas. Lovely table overlooking the street but really loved the authentic vibe and fun atmosphere: Got to watch a server make bananas flambee for another table and never seen someone take it so seriously - and it looked GOOD. Wished I’d tried one of their massive margaritas… Oh well next time, because we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
